- Alternate cold and warm. A grey street, then a lit kitchen, then a grey park, then a candle. The contrast is what makes the set feel like a month rather than one damp afternoon.
- Open on a face, not a leaf. Autumn texture shots are the easiest photo to take and the weakest opener. Put the wet pavement and the last leaves at positions four and eight.
