Short graduation captions
Flat, confident, and short enough to sit under a cap-throwing photo.
Funny graduation captions
For the gown that fit nobody and the family photos nobody escaped.
For the people you did it with
The set that ages best. Put at least three of these photos in.
Endings and what comes next
For the last frames, where the campus is empty and the plan is not made yet.
How to pick the photos
Graduation dumps fail in one predictable way: they are all certificate. The scroll turns into you, the gown, the paper, the gown again. The photo people stop on is always a person, not a document.
- Put at least three people photos in. Your flatmates, the study group, whoever sat next to you in first year. The degree is the reason for the day, but the people are the reason it mattered.
- One family frame. Whoever came to watch you walk across the stage. It does not need to be posed.
- Keep one photo from before. A first-week photo, a bad library selfie, the old room. The contrast against the gown does more work than any caption.
- Certificate photos: one, maximum. Hold it, do not read it.
- End somewhere empty. The last walk out, the packed car, the bare room. Endings need a closing frame.
Ten to twelve photos, ordered from the morning of the ceremony to whatever came after, and the caption almost writes itself.
Questions people ask
What is a good graduation photo dump caption?
Short and slightly dry works best: "done, and it is in writing", "cap, gown, receipts", "the ending, documented". Save the sentimental line for the people photos rather than the certificate.
What should I include in a graduation photo dump?
The ceremony, the cap throw, at least three photos of the people you studied with, one family photo, and one closing frame of somewhere empty. Keep certificate shots to one.
How do you caption a graduation photo with friends?
Point at what they did rather than the day: "the ones who made it survivable", "flatmates turned family", "everyone i would do it again with".
What can I write if I have no plans after graduating?
Say so. "no idea what is next and that is allowed" or "the plan is loose, the mood is good" read as honest, and honest always outperforms a fake five-year plan.
